The Problem
Your clients are bringing you things you weren't trained for. Binge eating. Guilt spirals. Body image breakdowns. Restriction cycles. And you're doing your best - but somewhere underneath, there's a quiet fear that you're going to get it wrong.
Maybe you've been winging it. Maybe you've been referring everything out. Maybe you've been avoiding the conversation altogether.
And the truth is - most coach training doesn't touch this. Not really. You got the macros. You got the periodisation. You didn't get the tools to sit with someone in a food guilt spiral and actually know what to do.
"The Grounded Coach was built for exactly this gap."
The Programme
The Grounded Coach is a small-group mentorship programme for health and fitness coaches who want to support relationship-with-food work - confidently, ethically, and without losing themselves in the process.
This isn't a course where you learn the theory but realise you have no idea how to apply it to the person opposite you. This is a live, relational, practice-based experience - because the work you're learning to do with clients requires you to actually practise doing it.
You'll leave with the knowledge, the tools, the self-awareness, and the confidence to hold space for your clients' most complex food and body struggles - without burning out, overstepping your scope, or projecting your own stuff onto theirs.
The Method
Four interconnected pillars that build the complete grounded coach.
Before you can hold space for a client, you need to understand what you're actually dealing with. Explore the psychology of eating, the physiology of restriction and bingeing, the neuroscience of food behaviour, and the social and cultural forces that shape your clients' relationships with food. This isn't theory for theory's sake - it's the map you'll use every single session.
Before you coach clients, you practise on yourself. Build your own SOS plan, identify your bias and discomfort zones, explore where you get triggered, and strengthen your ability to stay regulated. You cannot hold space for clients if you haven't learned to hold it for yourself.
The textbook gives you theory. This gives you scripts, frameworks, and boundaries. Navigate 'I binged again' conversations, explore emotional eating without shaming, respond when clients resist increasing calories, and stay inside your scope - confidently. No more winging it.
Bring your actual client scenarios. We workshop them. We rehearse conversations. We troubleshoot stuck points. You won't leave sessions thinking, 'I have no idea what to do with this.' Confidence is built through repetition - not theory.
The Path
Each month builds on the last - from understanding to practice to confidence.
Phase 1
Month 1
Psychology of eating, restriction, bingeing, and body image
Neuroscience of food behaviour and habit formation
Social, cultural, and identity-based food influences
Scope of practice clarity - what's yours, what isn't
You'll know what you're actually dealing with - not just the surface behaviour.
Phase 2
Month 2
Your own food story and how it shows up in your coaching
Bias mapping and trigger identification
Building your personal SOS regulation plan
Developing your capacity to sit with discomfort
You'll coach from a grounded place, not a reactive one.

Final 1:1 integration call
You won't be the coach who panics. You'll be the grounded one.
